  • Dr. Keleigh Blount, PhD, LCMHCA

    Keleigh Blount (she/her) holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling and Rehabilitation Counselor Education and a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) in Greensboro, North Carolina. Keleigh is also a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the state of North Carolina, where she works with adolescents, young adults, and families to navigate life transitions, career exploration, connection with others, as well as sexual exploration. Prior to obtaining her degrees, she also served proudly in the United States Air Force.

    Keleigh currently serves as the Assistant Director of Multicultural Student Affairs at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Prior to this she served as an Assistant Professor, Clinical Director and Interim Program Director of the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program within the Graduate School of Counseling at George Fox University in Portland, Oregon. As an educator and mental health clinician, she uses constructivist pedagogy coupled with experiential learning and expressive arts to facilitate conversation surrounding diversity, equity as well as cultural engagement and collaboration.

  • Dr. Britney Brinkman, PhD

    Britney G. Brinkman, Ph.D. is a licensed Psychologist, an associate professor of Psychology at Point Park University, and owner of BGB Consulting. She is the Program Director for the PsyD Program in Clinical Psychology at Point Park University, where she leads the Social Justice Psychology Research Team.

    Dr. Brinkman is on the advisory board for the Gwendolyn J Elliott Institute at Gwen’s Girls and Co-Convener of the Health and Wellness Working Group of the Black Girls Equity Alliance. Dr. Brinkman is an expert in the psychology of gender and social justice. Additionally, Dr. Brinkman is the author of the book, Detection and Prevention of Identity-Based Bullying: Social Justice Perspectives and has published numerous articles and book chapters related to community-based research, girls’ activism, gender prejudice, sexual harassment in school, and programming for Black girls.

  • Dr. Courtney Williams, PhD

    Courtney Williams is a licensed psychologist and a North Carolina native. She currently serves as a staff psychologist at Vanderbilt University Counseling Center. Her work includes the provision of mental health care among college students.

    Dr. Williams earned her PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Georgia. Dr. Williams has worked closely with school officials to implement culturally adapted programming among marginalized populations. For example, she developed culturally informed curricula to explore mental health implications among Black women and girls. Moreover, Dr. Williams has provided gatekeeper training for suicide prevention and mental health among student leaders, faculty, and staff.

    Her clinical interests and specialties include (but are not limited to): mental health among Black women and girls; interpersonal dynamics; professional development; identity exploration; the college student experience; and diversity, equity and inclusion.

  • Jovan Shumpert, MS, LMHC

    Jovan Shumpert earned a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University.

    My personal philosophy encourages openness, honesty, accountability and relationship in order to provide a safe place for GROWTH and LEARNING in order to assist you in BECOMING who and what you want to be. Why simply survive when you can thrive?

    I meet clients where they are and build from there. I specialize and have a special interest in working with young adults and Black women. My vast experiences allow for me to connect with diverse populations across ethnicities, social economic statuses, LGBTQIA+, genders and more.

  • Kendall Bassard, LMHC

    Kendall’s goal as a therapist is to provide an emotionally safe space that supports insights, questions, concerns, and emotions that arise through current and past experiences. Kendall’s approach emphasizes that it is not always about the outcome as much as it is about what’s unfolding. Kendall will work with you through your journey of self-exploration, healing, and your ability to implement effective coping strategies, and achieve and set realistic life goals. In this space Kendall will honor your voice, your own understanding of your process, and your incorporation of this work in your daily life.

    Kendall works with a wide array of therapeutic needs including infertility, trauma, PTSD, depression, bereavement, and anxiety. Her therapeutic approach is supportive, non-judgmental and culturally competent. In therapy, Kendall utilizes a variety of treatment modalities, as she believes a holistic approach is the best way to meet the individual needs of every client. These include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Mindfulness techniques.

  • Arabia Johnson

    PROGRAM COORDINATOR

    Arabia Johnson is a training guru and a mental health advocate. She partners with various organizations to bring awareness to mental health in the workplace domestically and internationally. Arabia loves working with people and organizations that want to grow and determined to change what needs to be fixed.

    A New York native, Arabia received her Master's Degree in Industrial-organizational psychology and is certified in mental health first aid and CPR, as well as IMPACT training.
